For the past week I have been diligently building a new online home for my knitwear design business and blog, DaisyHead Creations. I opened up my new "place" Thursday morning! Now that I have some time to think again, I hopped over to Twitter and found out that it's time once again for the Ultimate Blog Party. I missed it last time, and I am in the mood for a party!
So if you're here from Ultimate Blog Party 2012~ Welcome!
I love making new friends! I hope you'll grab a cup of tea and stay a while.
Here at the daisyhead, I blog about mothering, homeschooling, living simply in a small space, and life as a perimenopausal homeschooler.
When I start something, I like to read everything I can find on the subject. I like to really get lots of information so that I know how I want to proceed with my new venture. Then I like to share what I have learned and add my life experience to the mix. I have been gathering and sharing information about mothering, pregnancy, breastfeeding, cloth diapers, and home education for the past 18 and a half years. (Wow. That makes me sound really old!)
God has really impressed upon me to reach back to the women who are a few steps behind me to help them along the journey.
I am 43 years old. I have been married to my wonderful husband for almost 20 years. (How did that happen?!) We have five children who I have always homeschooled. We have 2 boys and 3 girls. They are 18.5, 17, 14.5, 10 and 5 years old. There are 13 and a half years between my oldest and youngest children.
This means that you can find a little bit of everything here at the daisyhead– from teens to babies.
If you have teenagers, you may enjoy my series 31 Days of Parenting Teens.
If your house is filled with little ones, you don't want to miss Momma Encouragement.
Homeschooling? There's lots to check out here. Homeschool Encouragement, Timelines… Check out the drop down menu at the top.
For many years we struggled with a chronically ill little one. Actually two of our children had the same disorder. One was an easy "fix," the other… Not so much. I am sharing our story one post at a time. If you know anyone who is struggling with Hirschsprung's Disease, or would just like to hear a story about God's faithfulness and care, be sure to check out Our Sick Babies Story.
If you're a knitter or crocheter, I'd love it if you hopped over to my knitwear design blog!
I would love to get to know you better! Say hello in the comments. Or join me on Facebook or Twitter. I love making new friends! (Did I already say that?)
If you haven't been over the the Ultimate Blog Party 2012 Link-Up yet, it's a great way to meet some new people and find some new blogs. Go join the party!
